PRAYING FOR ALL
Read I Timothy 2 Prayer in Church
Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (I Timothy 2:1-4)
Paul begins his exhortation on prayers as foremost importance in the context of the public worship of Christians. Prayer draws divine intervention into situation, changes us and convey love even for our enemies.
When coming together, believers should make supplication is simply asking for something with bold confidence from Gods Word. Prayers as referring to all communication with the Lord. Intercessions refer to the requests we make on behalf of others and conclude with giving of thanks out of gratitude.
These different kinds of prayer that should be offered for all men even our enemies and for those with whom we have conflict. regardless of their culture, gender and religion beginning with the emperor and those in authority, Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. (Romans
The purpose is peace. A life ordered by Gods design, His calling and intent. Life of faithful diligence (Heb. 12:14) cp. disorderly, idleness. Without persecution, secret meetings, and the witness of believers. With liberty to restrain evil and maintain good so that the pursuit of Christian witness. We should pray for a government and rulers that would simply allow us to live as Christians bearing witness of His salvation. Righteousness exalts a nation, But sin is a reproach to any people. Prayer: Lord You are my Mediator. I know You advocate for my acceptance and ever live to intercede on my behalf. On occasions that I wanted to defend myself even with men but knowing You will vindicate for me I find rest.
