Introduction to Christian Coaching

We live in a fast-paced and digitally connected society where many people feel lost and disconnected. People seem to be always in a rush and spend little quality time with the people they value. As a result, most relationships are shallow and conversations are transactional in nature.

Furthermore, we are overloaded with information, but do not spend enough time to process these ideas. When we need to make a decision, we turn to the all-knowing “Google” and quickly lose our common sense to make wise choices in life.

We attend many courses but few really impact us personally as they are not customised to meet our personal growth needs. We yearn to live a more purposeful and meaningful life, but we are trapped in an endless and mindless cycle of activities and events.

Does the above describe you or the people around you?

What is Christian Coaching?

Our goal is to support you in finding your place amidst a fast-paced society. We desire to journey with you, intentionally processing your life experiences to gain insight for wise living.

Christian coaching is an intentional conversation to empower a person to grow in awareness of who they are and become what God is calling them to ‘Be’ and ‘Do’. It not only helps a person deal with their “here and now” problems; it also helps a person become aware of:

  1. Whose am I? (Their Lordship)
  2. Who am I? (Their identity, personality, strengths and weaknesses, etc.)
  3. What is really important to me? (Their values)
  4. What am I living for? (Their Purpose)
  5. What must I do? (Their Priority)

Through conversations with our Christian Coaches, we hope to support you in finding your significance in life.

Introduction to Christian Coaching Online Workshop

This workshop, based on how our Lord Jesus empowered His disciples to live out their calling, will introduce you to the Christian coaching mindset and skillset.

What will you learn?

"The purpose of a man's heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out." - Proverbs 20:5 (ESV)

You will learn how to be a man or woman of understanding. Someone who draws out the potential in others and journeys with them through life-giving conversation. To enable you to do that, you will be equipped with basic coaching skills, such as (1) Active listening (2) powerful questioning and (3) Guiding an effective conversion. Coupled with hands on practice, you will be able to start coaching others, becoming less directive and more empowering.

What previous participants had shared:

"I love the variety of training styles used – e.g. role-play, discussion in small group and many practices. Training is practical, light and easy to absorb " --Tay

"The workshop is interactive, open and flexible. The questioning leads to self-discovery and what God has laid upon the heart. Trainers are very humble, open and engaging." – Grace

Jesus, the Master Coach through his questions engages his listener at a deeper level. A good life skill to grow in if one wants to grow in listening to God and listening to others. – Siow Yee

This is a life skill where in addition to the practical tools that help you frame your engagement with others, you will learn that this is done in partnership with the Holy Spirit. The tools are the resource, God is the Source. – Ivy
