WON FOR MY BEHALF
Read Romans 16 Salutation and Greetings
And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. (Romans 16:20 NKJV)
Paul has come near to the end of his letter. He greets the Christians in Rome as he draws his letter to a close. Then he takes a turn to warn the believers concerning those causing arguments with their diverse doctrines from what he had taught them. Much of it are spelt up in the earlier chapters. He cautious them to mark them, identify their error, as to stay away from such deceivers who serve out of gains for their own selfish appetites. (:17)
God does the crushing, We are no match to the enemy except through His power. Paul urged the believers in Rome to become increasingly vigilant and sober in doing what is right. Is not confronting evil in our own strength lest we engage them in our flesh.
He echoes the prophetic curse on the serpent, And I will put enmity between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. (Genesis 3:15) Satan ends up under the feet of believers.
The reference to these false teachers as Paul would associate them with Satan in deception. but every victory God wins for us right now is a preview of that event. seems to be to his near expectation of the Messiahs return, and with it the final victory of the faith. This will not ultimately happen until Satan is bound and cast into the bottomless pit (Revelation
Prayer: Lord and Heavenly Father, keep me from Satan's evil activities that are designed to shipwreck the faith in Your people, and keep me ever under Your sovereign authority, influence, and peace. Thank You that despite the enemy's deceit and trickery, Satan is a defeated enemy who has no authority over my life, because Christ won the battle at Calvary. Frustrate the wicked wiles of the devil, and expose those false teachers, who are leading so many of Your people astray. May the grace of the Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all, this day and forevermore, AMEN.
