Read Song of Solomon 8 Unquenchable Love

Set me as a seal upon your heart, As a seal upon your arm; For love is as strong as death, Jealousy as cruel as the grave; Its flames are flames of fire, A most vehement flame. Many waters cannot quench love, Nor can the floods drown it. If a man would give for love All the wealth of his house, It would be utterly despised. (Song of Solomon 8:6-7 NKJV)

A description of love that is mutual. Seal speaks of a treasured possession. Is a heart to heart that speaks of private, personal and possessiveness. It breaks out then into a public domain as a seal upon his arm. Others can see.

This love is powerful as it is stronger than death, Death has no respecter of person. The strongest and the richest, the wisest and most popular cannot resist it yet love is greater than the fear of death. The martyrs wouldnt afraid of death because of the love for God.

It is passionate like the flames of fire. God is a jealous God and also a consuming fire. No flood can drown it.

It is priceless as no wealth can buy it. How significance this is the love we have with Christ as Paul would say, For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

Prayer: Lord, how You love me. It is personal and private yet it cannot be withheld within but publicly expressed. It is more powerful than death and death has no sting in comparison of the love You have for me. Your Holy Spirit has stirred such passionate love within like a fire and I will not exchange this priceless experience with You for all the wealth of this world.
