MY REDEEMER LIVES
Read Job 18 19 Job Dialogue with Bildad and His Sixth Speech
For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, That in my flesh I shall see God, Whom I shall see for myself, And my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! (Job 19:25-27 NKJV)
After Job had the second round of dialogue with Eliphaz (Job 15-17) Bildad continued with him (Job 18 & 19). In responding to Bildad's comment that the wicked are trapped and punished even the generation after him; Job spoke of his affliction and forsaken state.
Job revelation grows from there is no mediator (Job 9:33) to one of my advocate is in heaven (Job 16:19) then to seeing my Redeemer (Job 19:25). One who is in a position to pay the price and the right to exercise the right to release the captive. One who could identify with him. Job knew this redeemer shall rise up and vindicate him. A prophetic message of Christ, the Redeemer who became like us and should redeem those who believe from all their sins; from the law, its curses and condemnation; from Satan, and his principalities and powers; from death and hell, and everlasting destruction; and that by giving himself a ransom for them. He now lives to make intercession on our behalf.
He knew God will vindicate. He knew God as his Redeemer who is the living God. He knew after this life is over, he shall see God. This is his faith regardless how righteous he attempts and think he is able. Its a personal confidence based only on the faithfulness of God and not himself or anyone else.
Prayer: Lord, You came to give Your life as a ransom for me and what a joy to know I belong to You. I acknowledge You are my Redeemer and You live throughout externality. I rest secured and devoted to love You and shall see You. My focus is not my unworthiness but Your love
