Read Proverbs 10 Godly Wisdom and Wealth

The blessing of the LORD makes one rich, And He adds no sorrow with it. (Proverbs 10:22 NKJV)

As parents we love our children and would bless them as much as we are able. We have never intended that blessing creates them the problem and cause sorrow. How much more God blesses us to build us up and not to bring us sorrow.

We are exhorted to work and make provision for ourselves and loved ones. We dont have to make wealth out of strife, conniving it but in partnership with God. Riches inevitably followed as we take delight in serving, working and fulfilling our entrusted responsibility. It's the outcome of a life lives in faith and obedience to His word.

It is not worth spending our lives striving to be rich if it causes familys breakdown or poor health. Money can buy a bed but not sleep, food but not appetite, possession but not satisfaction.... etc. Jesus said, And He said to them, Take heed and beware of covetousness, for ones life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses. (Luke

"Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life." (1Timothy 6:17-19)

Gods riches are more than possessions and wealth but in life wholeness. It is in Christ we are rich. He was rich became poor that we might be made rich (II Corinthians 8:9). The greatest blessing is salvation in Christ. Now through being in Christ God bestows us His blessings. We are in right relationship with God through Christ. The richest that cannot be taken. incorruptible and eternal.

Prayer: Lord I live out my calling faithfully and responsibly with priorities toward You, loved ones and where You led me leaving You to bless (prosper) me.
