COME ALIVE
Read Ezekiel 37 Pictures of restoration
And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? So I answered, O Lord GOD, You know. (Ezekiel 37:3 NKJV)
Is what you are going through as there is no hope? Ezekiel saw what hopelessness is.
God brought Ezekiel to a valley of dry bones. Valley is a place of battles. The dry bones speak of Israel taken captive in Babylon. They were cut off because of their sins. It speaks of chaos and death for a long time. It is just impossible to ever live again. But God is showing thats not the end and the purpose they may know that He is God.
Ezekiel responded as affirming God's sovereignty. God never loses control. God would bring them life by stages. The outcome is to show Himself. Ezekiel's role was to be God's mouth piece, He was to speak to the dry bones. As he was preaching, the rattling sound with bones come together and full body with muscles and sinews but no life. Then God said to me, Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, Thus says the Lord GOD: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live. (Ezekiel 37:9) A process of hopelessness to complete hope. It is preaching of the word and the work of the Spirit.
In human spiritual deadness or weaknesses is Gods strength. It is a picture of church and what appears impossible to is possible to God. Just keep declaring and speaking life into it. The Spirit of power will come upon the church. It has to be the Lord. Those remaining marshy did not get the water. They were raised to engage the enemy. Its not just speaking to the people with all the tools available but only when God moves. God shall put His Spirit in us and we shall live. Thus, our dependence upon Gods Spirit.
Prayer: Lord, revival begins with me. It's not the work of men but You God. I cannot bring about revival except to pray and declare confessing Your promises and welcome the work of Your Spirit.
