FEARLESS LOVE
Read I John 4 Abiding in Gods Love
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us. (I John 4:18-19 NKJV)
Little granddaughter was so excited running away for fun of be chased by grandpa. Instead, she ran back towards grandpa when she saw a stranger in front. Little children do fear some strangers or places but will not when they are with those they loved.
Fear and love cannot go together. This fear referred here is not that of reverential fear, which is out of love for God. It is the fear that will hinder us in our trust and walk with God. It is fear that brings bondage and serving out of our flesh. FEAR means False Evidence Appears Real. Allowing the fear to have a hold of us results in torments causing us to react and rob us the joy and perspectives. It comes from the flesh or the evil ones.
Here John amplifies God is Light, Truth and Love. God is love and He is within us. "He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world." (1 John 4:4). God saves us for abundant life (John 10:10) yet many are living in bondages and fear. When we are mature in love; it brings us comfort, assurance of acceptance and peace. The completeness of love means we do not dread His judgment, either now or in the day of judgment. We know all the judgment we ever deserved - past, present and future are settled at Christs death once for all.
He loved us even before the world was created, when our only existence was in the mind and heart of God. It's because God is love by nature and is an active love towards us, we are able to respond in love. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. (I John 4:16). We are God's children and they can enjoy friendship with him. (1 John 3:1 and 2:3). His love inseparable.
Prayer: Lord You initiated my love relationship with You and for one another. Your love will empower me to overcome fear. Be it fear of the judgment, in which You have delivered me or the fear of men because what can they do when Your presence is with me or of the situation as You are in control with my best interest in Your heart and will. Thank You for enabling me to reject, resist, renounce fear remaining in Your love.
