Read II Corinthians 13 Concluding Admonition and Blessing

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen. (II Corinthians 13:14 NKJV)

Paul warns the Corinthian Christians to examine themselves of their genuine faith before he comes to visit them with purpose of discipline. With such weaknesses they have, he was confidence of their reconciliation with God and with one another through his prayer. This leads him to concluding words of farewell greetings and declaring blessing on them.

First the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with them. It comes through the merit of Christ. Our salvation and eternal life do not come by what we have done to deserve it as we cant and impossible to do so. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (II Corinthians

Second, its sovereign solely on the love of God. He offered Christ as the Sacrifice out of His love (John 3:16) For God is love (1John 4:8) It is unconditional -Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans

Finally, the grace is applied to us through the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. His abiding presence is our companionship with God that would comfort, guide and unites us. Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, (Philippians

Prayer: Lord, Your grace is sufficient for all that I need from salvation to sanctification and complete glorification. I will abide in the love of God and live in fellowship with the Holy Spirit whom You have sent and is with me.
