NEW CREATION
Read II Corinthians 5 Living with eternity in view
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV)
Have you watch a show on Make Over? A person you know has cosmetic surgery done, made up gorgeously, fashionably changed, through a period of exercises and got so trimmed that you cannot recognize who she is. Thats only external but there is another make over that is totally new inside out.
When we were first born, we were conceived in sin. We were in Adam. Now we are born again by the Spirit. We are changed from within, a dramatic one that the past has no hold on us. We are made new, totally different kind. We inherit Christ's righteousness. An entirely new you, a new life created and empowered by God. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. (Galatians 6:15).
A new apparel, that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness. (Ephesians 4:24). and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, (Colossians 3:10).
Second, a new approach, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:20-22).
Third, a new affection, A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34). Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. (I John 2:8).
Prayer: Lord I am a new creation with a fresh new start. Everything I have before me is passing away constantly. The new is constantly showing forth in my knowledge of You, my drawing near with full assurance of faith and loving others.
