Read I Corinthians 2 Clarity of Holy Spirit

These things we also speak, not in words which mans wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (I Corinthians 2:13 NKJV)

How much in our conversations show us that we are seeking to impress others with our knowledge, agenda, vision and earthly perspectives? Whats Pauls motivation? He is one with knowledge, who is religious and eloquent and here he directs our attention to his approach in communicating the Gospel.

Paul has received his revelation from the Lord after his conversion, But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11-12) Thus the things he speaks are what he received from the Spirit instead of men.

Paul is not using human wisdom to teach. Such has no power to transform life. This knowledge of Christ can only come by the revelation of the Holy Spirit (2:6-16). it appears foolish to them with regard to Christ's crucifixion but it's God's wisdom. Man is spiritually dead and thus by nature cannot get any revelation of God unless is given of God. When Jesus asked Peter "Who do you say that I am?" Peter answered "You art the Son of God". Third s response can come only by the revelation of God. Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 16:17 NKJV)

And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, (I Corinthians 2:4). Delivering or communicating it with the unction of the Holy Spirit. Its truth not eloquence that sets the hearer free from bondages. It should be presented orderly bringing wisdom and clarity.

The Holy Spirit enables us comparing spiritual things with spiritual. It means to compare the things of the Spirit of God, the doctrines of the Gospel, with the spiritual writings of the Old Testament, whereby their truth and harmony are demonstrated.

We don't look for scripture to validate our belief rather what the scriptures said and if it validates our belief. And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. (II Peter 1:19-21)V)

Prayer: Lord You sent the Holy Spirit to be my Guide and Teacher. As I live the revelational knowledge You shown me; I am able to communicate Your life as well.
