Read John 14 Departing words of assurance

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (John 14:27 NKJV).

Recalled having a nightmare I awoke gripped with fear. I sat on my bed immobilized. Suddenly, a still small voice. My peace with you and I asked, Who is that speaking? The response, I am the Holy Spirit. Immediate instance was the peace. PEACE in acrostic

Pray Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7) God is the Source of peace.

Empowered by the Holy Spirit as its the fruit of the Spirit. for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17)

Affirming Gods best in whatever state we are. During the German blitz against London during WWII, someone asked an elderly lady how she was able to maintain such a peaceful attitude about everything. Her reply: Every night I pray, but when I begin to worry about what Hitler is doing, I just remember what the preacher saidthat Jesus is watching. So then I am able to go to sleep. After all, there is no use for two of us to be up all night.

Clear Conscious of being forgiven as Christs blood cleanses. You can have this peace by focusing your thoughts on Jesus as your Righteousness. He was chastened for our peace. His peace founded in His perfect obedience to the Father and knowing Who He is. So shall we know who we are in Christ.

Establish Priorities. Seek first His Kingdom and other things we need off would fall into its proper place. It is an acknowledgment of who is in control.

Prayer: Jesus, Give me Your peace so that I can face anything with the confidence that I am not alone. In Your name I pray, I am abounding in the peace You have given me. My mind stays on You and I am not anxious of tomorrow. Amen
