HEARING GOD'S VOICE
Read John 10 Jesus the True Shepherd
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. (John
After healing the blind man Jesus was confronted by the religious leaders. He went on to make the distinction those who think they see are blind because of their unbelief. However, the man who was blind now see because he believed; even though he was questioned and excommunicated from the religious rights in temple and synagogue.
God speaks of a relationship that exists between the Shepherd and the sheep. Those who enter through Him are His possession, purchased or redeemed through His life. Expectancy for His voice; just like tuning in to TV channels we expect to get the show. Find His frequency. The receiver who is intact and ready to tune in to the voice of God is one who is expecting to hear from Him
Jesus knows them just as the Father and Him. We cannot be His sheep unless we know Him as the Shepherd. Not about Him but Him.
Affirming if it is of God and they follow Him. And when he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them; and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice. (:4) The Shepherd providing direction and leadership without driving the sheep. He leads by modelling, influence and love
Those who follow Him receive His life, abundant and eternal which is secured forever. They will never perish in hell and no one can separate them from Him, as He said, My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Fathers hand. (John 10:29)
Prayer: Lord, You are constantly speaking. I admit the prejudices, the influences, the weaknesses within are the struggles for hearing Your voice. I ask for strength and grace to be available in obedience to what I hear when You speak. Thank for the many instances of Your voices through the prompting of the Holy Spirit that have guided me to this day.
