Read Mark 16 The Triumph of Jesus

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover. (Mark 16:17-18 NKJV)

Mission is continuation of Christ's continuance work of building His church. He gave us the blueprint of His ministry through the authority of His Name. What is our goal? Decision or disciple. Methodology is God centred instead of man-centred. It involves everyone, inherently missionary.

And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; Jesu did it, Paul did it and we have encountered the deliverance on many lives.

We exercise the gifts of tongues and seen the church edified as well as for ourselves. In some occasions such tongues were discernible languages where the speakers have no knowledge of it themselves. It was like the record in Acts 2. They were words spoken to praise God.

It does not advocate us to taking up serpents as some performers do but we are protected from harm in the event being in contact with them. As Paul was bitten yet he was unharmed.

Testimony of Sudah Singh who was being poisoned yet remained alive. Such is the promise that had kept many early pioneers alive until the fulfilment of their missions.

The promised of Gods presence was the authority delegated them to pray for the sick with the laying of hands for recovery.

Prayer: Lord thanks for counting on me to continue the work You are doing in partnership with You. Grant me the revelation and give me Your Word, extend Your mighty hand to heal, protect and restore those whom You brought along my path. Show up Lord to receive the Glory.
