Read Habakkuk 2 The Just shall live by Faith

Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. (

We set goals based on the vision we have through each transition in life, particularly when it is for the coming New Year. How do we set them? Do we wait and discover what the Lord has for us? Here is the prophet Habakkuk doing the same.

The prophet was at the point of disappointment over the sins of Israel and God was going to judge them by sending their enemy, Babylon. Habakkuk couldnt understand why would God send a more wicked nation to do so. The way out is withdrawal, watching and waiting before God. He got to the rampart to wait. The rampart will be the high ground, the place of lingering on the word and prayer. Then the LORD answered... God speaks in the right time. God is concerned and interested in the affairs of His people. He

The Lord gives him a vision. Habakkuk was to write the vision as God reveals to him. Make it plain on tablets. Have it visibly as a reminder. Write it in such a way that all who read it would be able to understand. They will then be able to follow. The word revealed is meant for applications and passing it on.

God has His appointed time for the vision. He acts according to His eternal purpose. There is a time of waiting and a time for action. The outcome will glorify God. The assurance of its happening is promised. If God has said He will do it in His good time. "Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, 'My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure." (Isaiah 6:10)

The devil is swift to exploit when God's promises seem to us as by passed. He throws his fiery darts of doubts at us. We must not cease to pray, we must not give up, forget it and become impatience. For the just shall live by faith.

Prayer: Lord let it not be my ambition for what I am asking. Grant me Your vision for Your glory. I will write what You want it done for You. I will make it plain, declare it and run with it. I ask for strength to wait for it to come to pass. While so doing as the life I live by faith I please You.
