POSSESSING THE POSSESSION
Read Obadiah verses 17-21 Restoration of Israel
But on Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, And there shall be holiness; The house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. (Obadiah 1:17 NKJV)
Obadiah showed the pride of Edom as the example of human condition and God will bring to its downfall and establish His own Kingdom.
It will be on Mount Zion, where God sets his anointed King. Jesus will come a second time. The kingdom will come in its fullness, Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever! (Revelation 11:15)
There shall be total deliverance of Gods people. The Jews will finally recognise Jesus is the Messiah. This is the fulfilment of the promises of deliverance concerning Israel and Judah on Mount Zion. The Saviors shall come to Mount Zion to judge the mountains of Esau, And the kingdom shall be the LORDs (Obadiah 21)
There shall be holiness. The Holiness of God is made evidence. Israel and people of all nations who have been redeemed by the blood of Christ will be perfected in holiness. They shall worship Him forever in the new earth, And they sang a new song, saying: You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth. (Revelation 5:9-10)
Israel shall possess their possessions. There salvation shall be preached to all nations of the world and while those who continue afar off shall be left to perish.
Prayer: Lord, the end is ascertained that we reign with You. You will perfect us in holiness. We shall have possession of what is promised. I am living for a kingdom which cannot be shaken, we receive this grace that we may serve You acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
