Read Isaiah 43 Gods Promises of Restoration

Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV)

We have transitions in our lives. There is a choice of leaving and starting anew venture all together. This passage is a great comfort to cut the ties and be fully dependent of the Lord. Forgetting the former things as to focus on what is present and forge forward with the future God has prepared for us.

Forgetting the former things. Israel had a past history of failures, They were taken into captivity in Babylon but God would remember them and show them His mercy. He would have them put away the past if it hinders them in their relationship with God. The past however negative it was can either hinder us or become our strength and blessings to others. He would not remember of their sins. If God would not why should we. God gives us freshness and new beginning. Even the old is renewed. This can be so continually in our lives whenever there is a transition we are going through

Focusing the present. For God is doing a new thing. As His deliverance for Israel out of Egypt; He would do the same from Babylon :14 God would stir the heart of Cyrus to sent them out with provisions. We read of many testimonies of those who turned their lives around. Some who were former drugs addicts are today running rehabilitation for those in the present struggling to get out of the same addiction.

Forging towards the future. God will even make a way in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. As when they were in the wilderness God provided; He will do the same. He does the contrast. He makes things positive out of the negative.

Prayer: You came in the flesh, live and died for us. You were resurrected for us to have a new beginning. We are now new creation not allowing the past to hinder us. As You give me new beginning You empower me to live now in partnership with You and forging forward by faith what You have prepared for me.
