Read Isaiah 41 Message of Hope to the Gentile Nations
Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10 NKJV)
I was apprehensive of going for my National Service. I was overweight, unfit, lack courage, sensitive to reproof. Yet this was the assurance God gave me. I excelled in this part of my life.
The background was the prediction of Cyrus the King coming to rule the Israelites. Fear and doubts loomed in their minds. Fear is an emotion that reveals how one feels about self. FEAR in acrostic is False Evidence Appearing Real. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (II Timothy
God assured of His personal presence to Israel. He is omnipresence, Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? (Psalms
God assures them of His covenantal relationship. They are His possession. He is not passively leaving them what they were going through. Rather, He promises to strengthen and help them, Present help God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. (Psalms
Are we in the midst of a big project? Facing an interview for a job? Awaiting the outcome of an exam result or doctors report? We dont have to feel disheartened. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. (Psalms
Prayer: Lord I can trust You and set my affection on You. Your love has cast out my fear. Your presence and I am Yours assure me of Your strength in my weakness, Your help in time of need and upholding me in Your right hand of righteousness.
