Read Isaiah 32 Reign of Righteousness

The work of righteousness will be peace, And the effect of righteousness, quietness and assurance forever. (Isaiah 32:17 NKJV)

This prophecy of the coming King was given during the reign of Hezekiah while under the threat of Assyria. Prophetically pointing to Christ.

The call to arise from complacency so that the outpouring of the Spirit will empower the people to do the work of righteousness, not religious righteousness. It is Gods Spirit makes it possible in such work.

Righteousness will result in peace is in the midst of conflicts. The peace is both inward and outward. Inward peace is a quiet confidence of been right. There is a holy serenity and security of mind, by which the soul enjoys itself and enjoys God, and the power of this world can not disturb it in those enjoyments.

The outward expression of rightness with confidence and secure. Yet the righteous will hold to his way, And he who has clean hands will be stronger and stronger. (Job 17:9)

Prayer: Lord You are my Righteousness and thus in Christ I do the work that bring peace and I experience Your assurance and quietness through life to eternity.
