Read Isaiah 11 The Reign of Jesses Offspring

The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. (Isaiah 11:2 NKJV)

Isaiah spoke prophetically of Christ as the coming Messiah. In Him dwells the sevenfold Spirit. Jesus has the Spirit of the Lord not the spirit of a man. He rebuked the disciples saying, You do not know what manner of spirit you are of (Luke 9:55).

The Spirit of wisdom is upon Christ as He grew in wisdom (Luke 2:52) They marvelled at His teaching. He is wisdom! But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from Godand righteousness and sanctification and redemption that, as it is written, He who glories, let him glory in the LORD. (I Corinthians 1:30-31)

He has the Spirit of understanding. He sees beyond the surface. He understands whoever came to Him and respond appropriately to them. He understands us perfectly. He is perfectly suited to be our sympathetic High Priest in heaven (Hebrews 4:15-16).

In Him is the Spirit of counsel. He counselled His disciples and those who came to Him like Nicodemus who sought to understand how can one inherit the Kingdom of God.

Jesus has the Spirit of might with power to heal the sick, cast out demons, raise the dead and still the storm. No power is ever greater than He is. He judges accordingly and all kneels must bow and tongue confess He is Lord.

Jesus has the Spirit of knowledge as He knew what was inside the heart of man. (John 2:24-25)

The Spirit of the fear of the LORD is upon Jesus. He kept Himself in a place of submission, respect, and honour to God the Father.

As we have Christ in us and filled with His Spirit; we shall also be led, walk and exercise this fullness of the sevenfold Spirit.

Prayer: God, Your Holy Spirit who dwells in me. He be my wisdom in decisions making. Grant me understanding in prayer and the ability to counsel those in needs with Your words and exercise Your gifting with might as I withstands the enemy with the knowledge of Your will. Let the fear of the Lord be my constant desire to honour You,
