Read Song of Solomon 2 The Shulamites Dream

He brought me to the banqueting house, And his banner over me was love. (Song of Solomon

A day dream moment as the Shulammite woman is not of royal blood saw herself brought into the banqueting table, the nuptial feast; provisions of rich food and wine. She is a country girl, burned dark by the sun because of her work in the field. Unexpectedly, the king has found her and chosen her as his bride.

When he brings her into the royal banquet hall with all the royal and important guests, she may be shy, but not afraid, for as she says, his banner over me is love. She enjoys the communion because of Love. When she walks with him. She could relax and look anyone calmly in the eye. Her natural fear and bashfulness, insecurity is overcome by the loving presence of the king, which covers her weakness like a banner.

The banner is the lifting up, and the standard, Jehovah Nissi against the enemy. The symbol and motto of the king, love reminding why are they fighting the battle. The banner is not power, righteousness or justice, or you are lovely but is His love.

We are invited to the Lords table and how unworthy we are. He cleansed us that we can sit in to have communion with Him. At the Lords Supper was the wine that speaks of the Communion with Christ. Enjoying the communion because of His love.

Prayer: Lord I am come to Your banqueting table and nourished of Your life and be embraced by Your love. I can lift my head high wherever I may be for there is Your banner of loving presence over me.
