Read Proverbs 18 Wisdom in Speech

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. (Proverbs 18:21 NKJV)

A pastor shared of the words spoken that he might need one of those kidneys machines and it affected him in course of his health issues. How we just got to reject and reprove it when people said any word that bring curses.

Significance of our speech heals is like a life-giving tree, but a perverse tongue breaks the spirit. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, But perverseness in it breaks the spirit. (Proverbs 15:4)

The four characteristics of words that speaks life:

Appropriately spoken A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold In settings of silver. (Proverbs 25:11). A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, But the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness. (Proverbs 15:1-2) Aimed at the welfare of hearers and the glory of God. The lips of the righteous feed many, But fools die for lack of wisdom. (Proverbs 10:21)

Be swift to hear and slow to speak. So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath...If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this ones religion is useless. (James 1:19, 26). It is thoughtful speeches The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil. (Proverbs 15:28). whoever guards his mouth and tongue keeps his soul from troubles. (Proverbs 21:23) Do you see a man hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. (Proverbs 29:20).

Consistent to the Word. Whatever is true and of good reports as God would have it spoken for His glory.

Prayer: Lord I reject every word that will bring a curse or death. I exercise Your given right to speak life for Your Spirit is upon me. I aim to study what I am going to say the appropriate words at the appropriate time to the right person.
