Read Esther 4 -5 Esther Intercedes for the Jews
Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish! (Esther 4:16 NKJV)
Year 2020 there was a Coronas Virus pandemic and nations have lockdown. While such a time the Christians were called to pray. They were circulating for enlistment prayer warriors. An incident recorded thousands of years ago, the life of the Jewish people of the whole nation was threatened during the time of Persians' rule. Esther saw it is a national calamity and thus making a call to gather all the Jews in Shushan to pray and fast.
She appealed that they pray for her, that she might have courage to go in to the king, and meet with success; for prayer was the principal thing, fasting only an accessory to it, and as fitting for it, and expressive of affliction and humiliation of soul. They fasted until the third day; on which Esther went in to the king.
She was determined in the strength of the Lord to go into the king's presence with her petition, though it was contrary to law. She readily and cheerfully risked her life for the good of her people. She was content, and acquiesced in his will, leaving herself entirely in his hands, to dispose of her as he thought fit.
We asked and act in faith whatever the request is that will honour God and bless His children. It's not impressing ourselves but to serve those in need.
Prayer: Father, whatever Your role is assigned me allow me to be courageous and fulfil it for Your glory. Upon You I will set my focus. Regardless the consequences, I will submit upon You clear instruction and direction.
