THE MIGHTY ARM
Read Numbers 11:16-30 Moses Chooses Seventy Leaders
And the LORD said to Moses, Has the LORDs arm been shortened? Now you shall see whether what I say will happen to you or not. (Numbers 11:23)
My laptop was hanged. Then it was totally non-functioning. I knew the last five hours of work not saved is wiped out. I shared with dismay to a brother. He was serious and prayed with me. Amazingly everything worked even what was not saved appeared. The hand of the Lord was in it and it works.
The Israelites had seen the mighty hand of God leading them out of Egypt and encounters in the wilderness. They still complained about their hardship, and the Lord heard everything they said. This provoked the Lords anger against them destroying some of the people in the outskirts of the camp. Moses prayed to the Lord; the fire stopped. Along the way they began to crave for meat expressing their dissatisfaction with just manna.
Moses was very aggravated. He felt the Lord had treated him harshly and he didn't deserve it as they were not his children. It's impossible for him to provide meat and for such multitude! Been overwhelmed; he even prayed that he might die. (10:11-15)
Moses couldn't figure it out; but God never asked him to. God will provide. God has resources that Moses knew nothing about. God provided him the way to resolve the burden he carries. Goa anointed seventy men the Spirit that's upon Moses to be recognized as elders and leaders of Israel to share the burden. When he doubted of the people would ever have sufficient, God reassured him of His intervention.
The Lord did what He promised. He sends them quails and they ate like glutton. God is able to provide exceedingly above what one asked, God can do anything, you knowfar more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Glory to God in the church! Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus! Glory down all the generations! Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes! (Ephesians 3:20-21 MSG)
Prayer: Father God, You are able to reach out to us regardless how far we have drifted. Your hand will provide regardless how great our needs are, I hold on to all Your promises in Christ. Thank You, Holy Spirit for making every promise a reality in the right time.
