Read Revelation 21 Making All Things New

And He said to me, It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. (Revelation 21:6 NKJV)

God speaks to John. He is the living eternal God who still speaks today and to each of us who is longing to listen.

His work is a done deal. God's eternal purpose in Jesus is now accomplished, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth-in Him. (Ephesians 1:10) At this point, all things have been resolved or "summed up" in Jesus As was the work of redemption before the foundation of the earth so is our eternal salvation. He does a complete work.

Four occasions this phase I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. occurs in 1:8,11, 17; 21:6; 22:13. It speaks of the permanence of Christ and His eternal Being. God is beyond time as He was in the beginning, is now and will be in the future through eternality. The commencement and the conclusion. Who has performed and done it, Calling the generations from the beginning? I, the LORD, am the first; And with the last I am He. (Isaiah 41:4) We consider Him when we start and ends with Him as well. We can thus labour from perspective of rest. Working from end to begin.

Christ is the fountain of the water of life freely given to those who thirst after Him. We are living out of satisfaction when we see Him, we are drinking as He promises those who seek Him.

Prayer: Lord You are the Beginning not only of each year but even the very creation of the universe and it ends with You. As You Lord Jesu are Eternal so shall all things be sustained and perpetuate through eternality around You. I live Your life without haste as You are my beginning and eternality end.
