Read I Peter 3 Our Position in Christ

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. (I Peter 3:14-15NKJV)

Peter encourages the believers to stay devoted to the Lord and have Him as the centre of their hearts. They are faced with persecution, trials and testing. They should not loose hearts or be afraid for even blessing will come out of their suffering (I Peter 3:13).

Do not let fear, selfish desires, the opinion of others, worldly wisdom, the pressure of circumstances, these and many other lords command us.

Be always ready to defence what is written in the word. Numerous occasion Peter gives a defence of the truth (Acts 2:14-39; 4:8-12: 5:29-32) He did so with meekness and fear, that is In each point of testing Peter relied on the power of the Holy Spirit

God will care for us, especially when we suffer unjustly. Jesus spoke of the same attitude: And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell ().

when our good is returned with evil, will prove others wrong in their opinions about us and it will make them ashamed for speaking against our godly lives.

Prayer: Lord, You have modelled how You would response to persecution and yet confidence in giving your words. You would not retaliate but response appropriately and reach out to those who need You.
