Read Romans 12 Living out the grace of God

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV)

Pau has written earlier the manifolds mercies of God as grace, forgiveness, faith, reconciliation and salvation. What follows is his appeal to show appreciation through their lives. These three responses will follow:

Avail by presenting our bodies a living sacrifice. Our bodies are the instruments of worship. He has purchased it by His blood and we are not our own (1Corinthians 6:19,20) it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1Corinthians 3:16)

Be holy, but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, Be holy, for I am holy. (I Peter 1:15-16 NKJV). It is setting apart to live according to God's will. This is only logical we do so.

Avoid been conformed to worldliness. This world as opposed to God whether in its culture, moral and values. Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the worldthe lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of lifeis not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (I John

Achieve transformation to Christlikeness. We have to be transformed, as metamorphosis. by the renewing of our minds to have the mind of Christ. Believers are the light of the world and thus they represent Christ. It calls for a mindset that's different to that of the world.

Acceptable to God. In this way we may be able to prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. God's will is discovered through one's knowledge of the word and meditation. so as to be acceptable to God. Cain gave it but unacceptable (Genesis 4:7; Hebrews 11:4) it is in done for glory of God.

Prayer: Lord, I have experienced Your manifolds mercies. Now I worship You by offering my body which You have redeemed by Your blood as the holy instruments of worship. Renew my mind with Your word as I meditate it daily. Grant that I be transformed and conduct myself as representing You.
