Read Romans 10 Gods Purpose for Israel

For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:10)

Paul having laid the foundation of salvation now turns to Gods dealing with the Jews. He gives three aspects of Gods grace to experience salvation.

First, the provision of Gods Grace: Righteousness and salvation. The order for salvation begins with grace and foundation of it is righteousness. The law has to be fulfilled. Gods wrath has to be appeased. As men is not able to do both it was fulfilled in Christ. Through Him, the righteousness of God we have salvation. It brings about reconciliation, day by day experiences of Gods Grace as well for eternality.

Second, the object of Gods Grace: Heart and the mouth. It is the heart that matters. For out of the abundance of heart the mouth speaks. The Holy Spirit works on the heart with illumination and conviction. Yet the choice for man to accept or harden himself. As Jesus spoke of the will, But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. (John

Third, the means of Gods Grace: Believes and confession. Faith is the element that take Christ. Though information for the mind is necessary, as how shall they believe if they have not heard (:14). Mind is his thought. Believe is more than mental assent. For experiencing it is by faith, out of conviction. as resting on one depending on Him, lying with all ones weight on Christ. This is the gift of God for man. The result of believe is confession and result of confession is salvation. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (:9) Confession has the idea of agreeing with. Thus when we confess Jesus as Lord, we agree with what God said about Jesus, and with what Jesus said about Himself. It means we recognize that Jesus is God, that He is the Messiah, and that His work on the cross is the only way of salvation for mankind. We do not gain Gods righteousness by works.

Prayer: Lord, Your Spirit has drawn me to see the need of salvation. He has quickened my heart through conviction of my sins and convinced the need of a Saviour. I made my confession with the conviction that I can only trust You fully for my present and eternal salvation.
