Read Malachi 3 in relating to Gods Temple

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this, Says the LORD of hosts, If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it. (Malachi 3:10 NKJV)

The portion of tithe is one tenth of the amount one received. This was first mentioned when Abraham blessed Melchizedek a tenth after he delivered Lot. Again, mentioned as the commitment Jacob gave to God when he was running for his life from Esau. Tithes are the Lord's portion,

The purpose in tithing reminds us of all that we have come from the Lord. It was an act of thanksgiving to God for His provision. In returning to the Lord, we can see the blessing of honouring God and privilege of contributing to the work of the Lord.

The place where we tithe is the house of the Lord, The work of God is been done, the workers God has ordained need the provisions that come from the tithes.

The promise in tithing that we will see the faithfulness of God in His provision of abundance. God wants us to proof He is faithful. He will open the place of His favour. We will be so abundantly blessed even to the extend we do not have place to store. It's more than money or materials things.

Prayer: Lord, You have blessed me abundantly in Christ. The longing to have You and be intimate is such a spiritual blessing and privilege You have granted me daily and as long as I live now and in eternity. The physical health as temple of the Holy Spirit that I am able to be a blessing to others and the blessings of the descendants are beyond words I can express in thanksgiving.
