Read Zephaniah 3 Future Redemption

The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. (Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV)

We often take delight in the persons we loved. Like a bridegroom over his newlywed bride, parents over their new born and grandparents over their grand children. How much God does over us whom He redeemed us with His life for Himself?

God is omnipresence. His presence is in the midst of His people. He is the pre-eminence and personal, "your God" and powerful among us. The LORD, Jehovah giving emphasis that He never changes. The world changes with people toward selfishness but He is God who fulfils His promises. He is near us. He is aware of all that's happening.

The Mighty One, El-Gibhor will save; He is powerful. God is the powerful one. Isaiah said His hand is not short that He cannot save. He is well pleased with them upon their repentance and reformation. He will save them in His time. When we focus on the Mightiness of God nothing can shake us.

He will rejoice over you with gladness and take pleasure. The conversion of sinners and the consolation of saints are the joy of angels, for they are the joy of God Himself. Like the father of the prodigal son who rejoiced over the son when he returned.

He will quiet you with His love, God will not rebuke them as before. For their sins God will acquiesce. God loves to love them, is pleased that Himself as having pitched upon these objects of His love.

He will rejoice over you with singing. "For as a young man marries a virgin, So shall your sons marry you; And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So shall your God rejoice over you." (Isaiah 62:5). The church is the joy before the Lord. "You have ravished my heart, My sister, my spouse; You have ravished my hear With one look of your eyes, With one link of your necklace. How fair is your love, My sister, my spouse! How much better than wine is your love, And the scent of your perfumes Than all spices!" (Song of Solomon 4:9-10)

Prayer: Father God, You are the Almighty one above all might, power and all of your creation. Yet Your love is unfathomable. You take delight in us and dance over us. You are keeping us as the apple of Your eyes. You are ever present with us and with these assurances we can be confidence of doing all we need through Christ and rest with lowliness of heart.
