Read Isaiah 64 Prayer of the Remnant

For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him. (Isaiah 64:4 NKJV)

The remnants pleaded God to intervene from heaven, Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence (Isaiah 64:1) as He did in Mount Sinai. Here the prophet declared that God would show Himself even greater than ever.

What God is going to do is never been heard or perceived by any men since the world was created. Like Abraham when God promised His blessing he hadnt seen what God prepared. For the Jews is the coming Messiah.

They are to wait for it to come. Waiting is trusting. Its not passive but active expectations. Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! (Psalms 27:14). Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. (Psalms 37:7).

Quite akin to what the apostle Paul wrote, But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (I Corinthians 2:9) while Isaiah wrote for those who wait for Him. It defiles the imagination of men but God has revealed to us by His Spirit, the redemption we have through Christ.

A lad was staring at a jar of sweet with a sign Take as much your palm can hold at the same price. The store keeper wandered, Son, go ahead take as much as you can and all for the same price. Why are you waiting? He lingered as if he appeared seeking help. The store man decided to initiate by taking a handful of sweet and pass it to him. It was much more than his hand could hold. He has to do so with both hands. I rather receive from God than scheme and try earning it by my own effort.

Prayer: Lord, You are working wonders even while waiting upon You. It is having the rest You have always wanted me to experience. Grants me the peace to simply rest in the agenda and visions that come while lingering in Your presence.
