Read 1 Corinthians 13 The Divine Love

Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (I Corinthians 13:4-7 NKJV)

Chapter 13 provides the prominence of love (:1-3) practice of love (:4-7) and permanence of love (:8-11). Like a diamond with its many facets. Paul wrote what love is in present continuous tense. It's a life style pattern after Christ.

Love suffers long is patience to people as well to circumstances. who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; (I Peter 2:23) Love is kind. It is constructive to others.

Love does not envy which causes one to covet. Cain murdered Abel as he envied Abels sacrifice was accepted and not his.

Love does not brag making oneself more important than others. It is not puffed-up showing aloofness. It acts decently, tactfully and courteously, It does not seek its own, cares more for others than for self. It does not get annoyed easily. There is appropriate anger to unrighteousness and defilement of God's truth. Jesus chased the merchant out of the temple,

Loves thinks no evil storing up the memory of mistakes. It does not rejoice in iniquity and related evil including entertainment but rejoices in the truth as what God said.

Love bears all things it always protects. It is not sweeping evil under carpet. Rather it exhorts, rebukes so as to protect, It is not suspicious but eager to believe the best, It hopes all things that God has promised and His faithfulness in keeping to His word. Love endures all things. Never looks back, but keeps going to the end

Prayer: Father God, You are Love. You have given me Your love through Your Son, Jesus. Lord Jesus, You have shown me by Your life in speech and service. Holy Spirit through Your indwelling power enable me to act it unconditionally. it's gazing upon You, experiencing You and recalling the countless blessings of which I am thankful of that Your life of love can flow out of me.
