UNBREAKABLE
Read Ecclesiastes 4 Value of Relationship
Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. (Ecclesiastes 4:9 NKJV)
When God created man; He said it was not good for man to be alone. He gave him a companion. Jesus sends out His disciples two by two. When two or three gathered in my Name there am I in the midst. When there is the witness of two or three. Whatever we bind shall be bound. This is certainly true if the coming together is in agreement for good and fruitfulness. Following verses show us the advantage of companionship in working, weakness, warm, and withstanding.
In work, they are more productive in labor as they share the load. It is done faster, lighter and wiser with mutual contribution.
In weakness, they help each other for if one falls the other could lift him up. I recall walking through a flooded road and two students were walking ahead of me. One of them fell into the ditch but the other lifted him up else he might incur greater injuries. If a man fall into sin, his friend will help to restore him with the spirit of meekness if he fall into trouble, his friend will help to comfort him and assuage his grief.
In keeping warm when my daughter with her friend was left without a place to book into an hotel they kept close to each other over the winter night in the open air. Comfort in life for they will keep warm. As a fellow-traveler is of use; so is a bedfellow: If two lie together, they have heat. So virtuous and gracious affections are excited by provoking one another to love and to good works. Sadhu Sudah Singh survived because he carried on his back a man who had fallen on the snow whereas his friend died along the way as he went ahead individually without been held back to help.
In withstanding the evil ones. An enemy find a man alone, he is likely to prevail against him with his own single strength but, if he has a second, he may withstand him. "You shall help me against my enemy, and I will help you against yours " according to the agreement between Joab and Abishai (2 Samuel 10:11),
Prayer: Lord, You have granted me people of the same mind and spirit as a team in serving. I will not be independent in my serving. Grant how we may complement each other with differing strength and perspectives we might have.
