Read Psalm 43 Hope In God

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. (Psalms 43:5 NKJV)

Have you thought of occasions you were cast down? Here is a case in point. David questioned himself, honestly confessing his emotion but corrected himself. He now hopes in God. An acrostic of H.O.P.E in God:

Hope in God. It's leaving the matter in God's hand. The hope is a certainty that will come to past. Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (

Obedience to Gods word. One may be uncertain. Act on what you know is the will of God will bring peace in the spirit. Such attitude is better than sacrifice (1Sam 15:22).

Praise for who God is and what He has done. Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits. (Ps. 103:1-2) When we are occupied with praise within our soul then no place is left for despondency. Cultivate a lifestyle of prayer, Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is Gods will for you in Christ Jesus. (1Thessalonians 5:16-18), notwithstanding these present circumstances as this is a good antidote against dejections of soul, and disquietude of mind

Endurance in pursuing the goal. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews

Prayer: Lord You are my Hope, I will obey in what I know and praise You for Your promises are yea and amen. I tap in to Your source of strength as I stay focus upon You in the midst of turmoil.
