NOVO means made New
Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
(Isaiah 43:18-19 NKJV)
About Novo
CRMS (Church Resource Ministries, Singapore) now renamed NOVO Singapore, was founded by James Creasman who came to Singapore to start it in 2000. We are affiliated to CRM USA.
Our first president was Bishop Moses Tay and first Senior Advisor was Pastor Edmund Chan. Our objective is to resource churches & organizations with a platform for mentoring, discipling and coaching. We aim to achieve this through our Focused Leaders Network (FLN) and Focus Living Seminar (FL).
The FLN program is based on insight from Professor J.R. Clinton, Fuller Theological Seminary to help Christian leaders to finish well. The focus is on leadership development based on his book “The Making of a Leader. This book was translated into a practical workbook by Terry Walling of CRM USA.
CRMS is supported by volunteers who are passionate about mentoring and missions and affiliates ourselves with other organizations to achieve our objectives.
Later CRM US decided to change their name to NOVO, which means “make new”, to give a greater impetus on mission’s objective. As an affiliated organization and align ourselves with NOVO USA, we were also invited to change our name.
The EXCO committee in Singapore reviewed our objectives and decided we will rename ourselves NOVO Singapore since our major objective is also on missions.
Our current team and activities can be found on this website.
Our Mission
We are more of advance discipleship. Helping people discover their missional calling. Novo provides a safe environment of like-minded community of believers for people to process their concerns and sharpen their focus. Focus on the individual in their growth and fulfilling their calling. End goal is multiplication.
Our Vision
We desire to see individuals, families, friends, groups, churches, and communities transformed by the power of God through equipping, mentoring, and multiplying ministry through dynamic networking.
Our Values
We are committed to living out our faith through love, integrity, humility, and unity, equipping others to walk in obedience to God’s Word, serve with excellence, and foster relationships that glorify Him.
Our Ministry Mode
We have a three-pronged approach to serving churches. First is through evangelism through loving our communities and sharing the gospel through Bible Discovery. Second in discipleship through focusing leaders, spiritual discovery and coaching. Third in leadership development by providing resources and strategic planning.
