My Journey in Politics: Practical Lessons in Leadership (2017) was written out of gratitude to God for his guidance and enabling grace through 20 years in politics as Member of Parliament and office-holder in MHA and MinLaw. It recounts the key areas where God enabled the author to shape Singapore into a better society, especially those which impacted lives such as community sentences, early childhood education, spousal violence and countering drug abuse and youth crime. Teamwork and leadership lessons gleaned from real-life experience are central themes in the book. The author shares many high moments and a few low ones in his political journey.
